By using RuinShield you agree to use the service for lawful roofing-contractor verification, keep your account credentials secure, and respect that protected reports, exports, contractor profiles, and admin tools may require authentication and an active subscription.
You may search public licensing records, verify contractors, and generate reports; you may not scrape, resell, overload, reverse engineer, or use the service to harass or make unlawful decisions.
RuinShield normalizes public licensing and board disciplinary records and computes a heuristic Storm-Chaser Risk Score. Reports are decision support, not legal advice, insurance advice, or a guarantee a contractor is qualified — and a no-match does not prove a contractor is unlicensed.
The issuing state board, registration source, local building department, and the contractor's own insurer (via a certificate of insurance) remain the authoritative sources for any high-stakes decision.
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis; to the extent allowed by law RuinShield disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Governing law, dispute mechanics, and billing terms are being finalized with counsel before the production launch and accepting live payments.
